A group of students of Year 10 of Stafford Sri Lankan School Doha are currently touring Sri Lanka as part of the Duke of Edinburgh Adventure programme. During their tour they are required to engage in community service, team-building and adventure sports activities.
Accompanied by three members of staff, they will travel from Colombo to the cool-climes of Nuwara-Eliya and Kandy in order to visit a rural school that has been part of a CSR project of the school for the past 5 years. They will donate storybooks and stationery.
The Duke of Edinburgh adventure programme has been conducted by the school for several years and it has proven invaluable for the development of student personality and in order to identify and recognize skills.
