Junior Sports Meet 2016

It was an evening filled with the loud enthusiastic cheers from children of all three Houses: Emerald, Garnet and Topaz.

Junior Sports Meet 2016 opened with welcoming the Chief Guest Mrs. Manohari Fonseka and Guests-of-Honour Mrs. Hazari and Mrs. Gamage.

The tiny tots of Upper Reception and Lower Reception participated in colourful thematic group games. Thereafter, it was time for the real show.

Students from Year 1 to Year 3, who had been training for several weeks under the watchful eyes of the House Teachers, gave of their best as they took part in challenging events such as Zigzag and running with the ball, Going under the chair and ring, Obstacle race, Hockey race and of course the Mixed relays.

The senior students who took part in training the Juniors, were in high spirits and so requested for a relay of their own.

The day saw all three Houses satisfactorily rewarded; While Garnet and Topaz shared the Runner-Up position, Emerald emerged Champions of 2016. The pool of referees comprised of Mr. Mulafar, Mr. Mahesh, Mr. Tyson, Mr. Padmasiri and Mr. Tuan.
